The book of Hosea is super cool, In it we will learn about a broken relationship between God and the people of Israel
● This Book is an account of the Lord our God telling a man named Hosea to go out and marry a prostitute named Gomer, and to have kids with her.
● Not only that, but every night she would go out and leave the home and sleep around. She went out and was promiscuous.
● And every night, Hosea would go and find her, he would bring her home, have compassion, forgive her, restore her and ultimately love her and keep her as his wife.

● The Hebrew word for Jezreel (Yizre’el) literally means “God Sows” and in context here it is talking about God sowing Judgement on the current kingdomship and on the land
● Hosea 1:6 CSB
● The Hebrew word ruhamah actually means, mercy and compassion so Lo Ruhamah means NO mercy, No compassion
● So God is telling us because of this unfaithfulness Judgement is coming, and he is taking away his compassion for the people of Israel

● In Hebrew Lo ammi , is God's declaration, saying this relationship is broken because you guys don’t even try and so YOU ARE NOT MY PEOPLE!!!!

● Jezreel what first meant GOD SOWS judgement now means God is sowing restoration
● Because for the children that “belong” to the living God, Judgement will not be the final chapter.
● But there will be restoration

● Hosea's unfaithful wife gomer had to be bought at a price because she had been enslaved to her sin.
● So you too have been bought at a price in the payment of blood.
● Not because of anything other than Gods LOVE for you
● John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
● Because for the children who BELONG to the living
God, the final chapter IS EVERLASTING LIFE WITH HIM
● So why do we have the desire to be unfaithful?
● And finally all of her sin was paid for! Like Jesus paid for you with his blood
● Does that mean that now because we have the blood of Christ to pay for our rebellion, and our desires, and our unfaithfulness that we can live any way we want now??
